DivinityVoice is a new music & art series located in the Diamond District of Oakland California, founded by jazz soul vocalist Valerie Troutt. Valerie holds a B.F.A in Jazz Studies from The New School University in New York city. Miss Troutt is committed to using music & the arts as a progressive tool for living.

Educational Programs:

We intentionally offer a safe and nurturing space for those who seek to discover, work on and/or reclaim their artistic gifts. Private music lessons and music workshops are offered. The Shepeople's Monthly Showcase offers residency to female artist and provides a supportive audience to celebrate, be inspired and aspire excellence in their respective genres

The Shed: a Jazz & Soul inspired jam Sessions offers vocalist and musicians an open mike practice/jam session. In these settings artist receive coaching and get to develop their works and crafts before their peers, something that would be impossible in a cabaret venue setting whose primary goal is professional entertainment.
